Welcome to the Wimmera Landcare community
There are around 55 Landcare and community-based environmental groups in the Wimmera CMA region, with upwards of 1200 members. Wimmera Landcare also enjoys the support of many non-member volunteers in activities across the region. Every year the Wimmera hosts major plantout weekends. The weekends are lots of fun and people from all over the world have joined us to plant trees and strengthen our community.
Wimmera Landcare works with community groups to promote and deliver activities designed to help farmers and land managers. This includes pest plant and animal management on private and public land and re-vegetation projects to improve land management practice. Landcare is a key part of the Wimmera community's ongoing commitment to sustainable landscape change and improvement.
