Friends of Newlands
The Friends of Newlands group is based near Apsley and works to improve the local wetlands and environment of Newlands Lake and Boikerbert Swamp. Recent works include a wetlands boardwalk and interpretive centre
Indigenous Landcare
Indigenous people have been caring for country in what is now known as the Wimmera for thousands of years, and there is strong support to foster genuine partnerships between Wimmera Landcare and the original custodians of this land to look after our environment together.
